Welcome to Street Up
Street Up was established on the Sunshine Coast in 2023 to harness the power of lived experience in addressing homelessness.
We believe that the voices of those who have experienced homelessness are crucial in shaping policies and practices that truly address their needs. Through presentations, training, peer support, research, policy reviews, and consultations, our Lived Experience Leaders support service improvements and raise awareness of issues surrounding homelessness.
Street Up is a collaboration between individuals with firsthand experience of homelessness, local governments and community/neighbourhood centres. We operate independently and informally to advocate effectively for those experiencing homelessness.

Street Up facilitates partnerships between people with lived experience of homelessness, local government, businesses, service providers, government, and community organisations to guide inclusive decision-making.
By amplifying the voices of our Lived Experience Leaders, Street Up aims to improve understanding and awareness of homelessness, ensuring that policies and practices are informed by real-world experiences.
